Garlic chips is a very tasty garnish that can lift up the taste of pasta and rice. Store the garlic chips in an airtight container and place it in a cool and dry place. Make a small batch every time and use it up to three days and pair it with your favorite healthy meals.
Ingredients:
1 head garlic
2 tablespoons olive oil
Directions:
1. Separate all the cloves from the head of garlic. One at a time, lay each clove on a cutting board, laying on its side. Press the flat side of a knife firmly onto the clove, loosening the papery peel. Peel away the skin.
2. Slice each peeled clove very thinly using a garlic mandolin or a knife.
3. Pour the oil into a heavy skillet placed over medium heat. Once the oil is warm, add the garlic slices. Quickly toss the garlic until it's golden. Remove with a slotted spoon or spatula and allow to drain on a paper towel.
4. Once cooled, the chips can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
