How to Make Wholesome Baked Macaroni And Cheese


Healthy recipes at its best: Almost everyone loves macaroni and cheese. This version is not only full of flavor, it is packed with nutrients and fiber. Serve this with your favorite healthy meals. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
8 oz. (1 box) whole grain elbow macaroni, uncooked
8 oz. low-fat sharp Cheddar cheese, shredded
12 oz. low-fat small curd cottage cheese
1/4 cup low-fat Parmesan cheese, grated
8 oz. low-fat or fat free sour cream
Salt and pepper, to taste
1/4 cup dry whole-grain bread crumbs
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

2. Cook macaroni according to package directions. Drain.

3. In a 9” x 13” baking dish, stir together macaroni, cheeses, and seasonings.

4. In a small bowl, melt the butter. Add bread crumbs and mix together.

5. Sprinkle bread crumb mixture over macaroni mixture.
